The 2020 Buick Encore Goes Through a Growth Spurt With New GX Model

By Justin Cupler | May 31st, 2019

Automakers continue to scramble to fill every void in their crossover lineups to ensure they have a model for every buyer. Buick has long missed out on the compact crossover crowd, as there’s always been a gap between the subcompact Encore and the midsize Envision. That gap closes when the 2020 Buick Encore GX arrives.

The 2020 Buick Encore GX will sit between the subcompact Encore and the larger Envision and Enclave models. This will give us at Garber Buick GMC a crossover lineup that can meet the needs of all our Ft. Pierce area shoppers.

The details surrounding the 2020 Buick Encore GX are still scarce, and Buick plans to keep them close to its chest until we near its debut. What we know is the 2020 Encore GX will offer roughly 5 cubic feet more cargo room than the Encore and 3 cubic feet less than the Envision, which would put it in the range of 24 cubic feet with the seats upright and 54 cubes with the seats folded.

The 2020 Encore GX will also boast all the latest in advanced safety tech and driver-assistance features. These features will include forward pedestrian braking, automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, a rear-camera mirror, and an available HD 360-degree camera.

All other details surrounding the 2020 Buick Encore GX will come as we near its arrival at our Buick showroom serving Midland, Bay City, and Saginaw. Keep an eye on our online inventory to be the first to know when it arrives in Saginaw and schedule a test drive. If you cannot wait for the 2020 Encore GX, we have plenty of in-stock 2019 Buick Encore and Envision models available.
