Look Out! Avenir Trim is Coming to the 2019 Buick Regal
Get a little more luxury out of your midsize sedan with the upcoming 2019 Buick Regal Avenir. You’ll get comfort, convenience, and safety with standard features like four-way power lumbar adjustment, a wireless charging pad for your smartphone and other devices, and rear park assist. An exclusive grille sets this vehicle apart with its assertive style and will turn a few heads as you cruise through town.
The Regal Avenir is available only as a Sportback and distinguishes itself with a mesh upper grille, Avenir script badging on the front doors, and exclusive 19-inch pearl nickel wheels.
Get revved up with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 250 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The engine mates to a nine-speed automatic transmission that passes the power to the front wheels.
“Innovation comes standard with Avenir,” said Chris Hay, Product and Pricing director, Buick and GMC. “It is a place for us to showcase our latest ideas to promote occupant well-being before we roll them out to other vehicles in our portfolio. The Enclave Avenir was the first Buick with Evonik Acrylite exterior lighting, a rear camera mirror, and an ionizer, and now Buick’s latest infotainment interface will come standard with the Regal Avenir.”
The infotainment system is Buick’s first venture into a cloud-connected system. This system allows embedded apps and enhances interaction with the available navigation system, voice recognition updates, and more. Personalize your profile to streamline your commute and spend more time enjoying the road than hunting and pecking at the infotainment system.
Inside, the Buick Regal Avenir sports trim-exclusive diamond quilted seats in “Whisper Beige” with ebony accents. There are also Avenir scripts embroidered into the headrests and emblazoned on the sill plates. You can also expect all of the high-end amenities from the Premier II Sportback, like the available heated and ventilated front seats with massage functionality.
As the top-of-the-line trim, the Regal Avenir comes standard with more safety features than any other trim. Get a sense of what’s behind you without craning your neck with the rear park assist, and rear cross traffic alert. LED headlights with auto leveling, cornering lights, and driver side auto-dimming mirrors make nighttime driving a little safer. Make smarter moves on the highway with the lane-change alert with blind-zone alert and maintain a safe distance with the optional adaptive cruise control.
The 2019 Buick Regal Avenir will be available in fall 2018. In the meantime, take a look at the Regal TourX, GS, or Sportback and find out which one is right for you. They each have luxurious amenities, spirited engines, and distinct style.
